New Orleans...

So, I finally have something exciting to Blog about! Well if you remember a few blogs back, I had mentioned that I had won the Artistic Styling Awards, but I didn't know what I had won. Well, I finally went to New Orleans, which I really don't ever want to go back there, it was sad, dirty, stinky, sticky and the whole time I was afraid that a Hurricane might happen. (I know I was being Dramatic but I was Honestly concerned) Anyways- after two and a half days of classes and suppliers fairs I finally received my award which was for my Color Palette, (if you look at all the pictures in a previous blog she is the top one with the dark brown and red highlights!) I have to say that I am very excited that it was that one, because now all my clients are going to be forced to get color, YEAH!!! Two years in a row, hopefully next year it will be stylist of the year! Lets keep our fingers crossed!

FAMILY PICTURES!

We had family pictures taken while we were on vacation this summer. Since I keep promising Shelly that I would add more pictures, I thought that I would add one of these! My brother Brandon isn't in it because he is still serving his mission in Billings, Montana, but he will be home at Christmas so we'll have new ones taken then! In the very front is Bryce and Brittney, to the left Tiffany and Derek and their adorable kids Carter, Camden and Addisyn. To the right of them My parents and then in the back my baby brother Blake (who is all grown up) and me.

Artistic Styling Awards!!!

As many of you know, last year I entered a Hair As many of you know, last year I entered a Hair Competition. To my surprise, I won First Place in the West and Third Place in the Nation for a Makeover that I did. It was very exciting, I won a trip to Vegas and I thought a once in a lifetime experience well...I was wrong!!! I entered again this year and I did better then I could have ever imagined. Only problem I don't know how well till I go to the Awards Ceremony which is in New Orleans but it's not until September. So, I have to wait and it seems to be forever away! I am so EXCITED! HURRAY!!!! I WON!!! I was completely surprised because I had told all my clients that I didn't do as well as last year! I did have amazing models who let me do anything I wanted to them, so I have to give them all the credit! If it hadn't been for them I don't know how it would have ended this year. It was so much more stressful then I could have ever thought! I will be doing it again next year, I just need to be more prepared!
