October Updates!

Wow, it's been awhile since I have blogged. October seemed to be a busy month. I went to Disneyland with my mom, my sister and her 3 kids, it was so fun but I have decided I'm not ready for children. Everytime I would walk away with Camden, who is almost 3, he would start crying out "Help Me" it was awful, It looked like I was kidnapping him, but all he wanted was his Mama, which is adorable so i couldn't do anything but laugh! A week after Disneyland I went to BOSTON, my new happiest place on earth! I loved it there, I want to live there, but probably never will! Boston was better then I ever thought it would be, I always assumed it was like New York, but it wasn't anything like it. I love it. I have tons of pictures but none of them are off my camera yet, hopefully I can post some soon!

New Orleans...

So, I finally have something exciting to Blog about! Well if you remember a few blogs back, I had mentioned that I had won the Artistic Styling Awards, but I didn't know what I had won. Well, I finally went to New Orleans, which I really don't ever want to go back there, it was sad, dirty, stinky, sticky and the whole time I was afraid that a Hurricane might happen. (I know I was being Dramatic but I was Honestly concerned) Anyways- after two and a half days of classes and suppliers fairs I finally received my award which was for my Color Palette, (if you look at all the pictures in a previous blog she is the top one with the dark brown and red highlights!) I have to say that I am very excited that it was that one, because now all my clients are going to be forced to get color, YEAH!!! Two years in a row, hopefully next year it will be stylist of the year! Lets keep our fingers crossed!

FAMILY PICTURES!

We had family pictures taken while we were on vacation this summer. Since I keep promising Shelly that I would add more pictures, I thought that I would add one of these! My brother Brandon isn't in it because he is still serving his mission in Billings, Montana, but he will be home at Christmas so we'll have new ones taken then! In the very front is Bryce and Brittney, to the left Tiffany and Derek and their adorable kids Carter, Camden and Addisyn. To the right of them My parents and then in the back my baby brother Blake (who is all grown up) and me.

Artistic Styling Awards!!!

As many of you know, last year I entered a Hair As many of you know, last year I entered a Hair Competition. To my surprise, I won First Place in the West and Third Place in the Nation for a Makeover that I did. It was very exciting, I won a trip to Vegas and I thought a once in a lifetime experience well...I was wrong!!! I entered again this year and I did better then I could have ever imagined. Only problem I don't know how well till I go to the Awards Ceremony which is in New Orleans but it's not until September. So, I have to wait and it seems to be forever away! I am so EXCITED! HURRAY!!!! I WON!!! I was completely surprised because I had told all my clients that I didn't do as well as last year! I did have amazing models who let me do anything I wanted to them, so I have to give them all the credit! If it hadn't been for them I don't know how it would have ended this year. It was so much more stressful then I could have ever thought! I will be doing it again next year, I just need to be more prepared!

Progress, YEAH!!!

Well, it has been two weeks since I said I was going to start training for this crazy triathlon so, I thought I would give you an update! I'm still doing it, hard to believe but I am. It helps that my oh so wonderful roommate has decided that she to wants to accomplish this. On Thursday I rode 10 miles, I thought that I was going to die! It's to hot here to do it after 7 am. I need to either get up at 5 or do it after the sun goes down. I have been really proud of myself. I really didn't think that I would still be going strong. I have lost 10 pounds, which makes it so much easier to continue, and it helps that all my clients now know and they always ask about it. It's nice being accountable to someone other then my sister. I have decided that once I have accomplished this I'm going to train for the New York City Marathon, I've always been intrigued by them so why not tackle that to. I'm getting closer to the last year of my twenties so, I have alot to accomplish! I can do it!

10 year Reunion

I can not believe that it has been TEN years since I graduated from High School. I couldn't be that old. I was at work this morning and a guy came in and said that he had an important event tonight so he wanted a really great haircut. As I was cutting his hair I asked what his big event was and he told me it was his 10 year reunion , I started laughing because my is tonight too. I asked what school he went and when he said Mountain View, I about dropped my shears. He didn't look familiar and I didn't know his name, but is was so much fun to catch up and talk about people we had incommon. I'm not going tonight but it would have been fun to see some old friends. Maybe I can convince ERIN to go to our 20 year Reunion, we'll see.

Triathlon!

So, I have decided that I am going to Train for a Triathlon, that takes place next May. My sisters did one this past May and loved it. Well, Tiffany did Brittney didn't so much. But, I have been thinking since I am READY and wanting to get in shape this is the Best motivation I could come up with. Wish me LUCK and maybe I'll survive. At least it gives me something to Blog about. Yesterday was the first day of my training and I didn't do as bad as I was thinking I would do. I'm not much of a runner so I did a lot of speed walking, at least it's a start. Today I did the swimming and that was hard, but I finally got some sun so instead of ghostly white, I'm a little red. Which is better then nothing! We'll see what tomorrow brings!

I LOVE BOB!!!

I love Bob Harper! If I knew for sure that he wasn't gay, I would marry him! For those of you that don't know who he is, he's the training on NBC's Biggest Loser and he was in town doing a book signing for his new book, ARE YOU READY? Well, he is absolutely adorable and I decided that Yes, I am ready! I can do it, it will be hard but I want to do it.

I thought I would be better at this Blogging thing then I really am...

I'm not as good at Blogging as I would like to be. I don't have anything fun happening in my life. so I'll tell you about the most embarassing thing at the moment. I hate to admit this but I well actually my dad and sister decided that it was time for me to get on LDS Mingles and meet some new people. Well...nothing new has happened. Kind of boring and I haven't met anyone worth while yet, but I'm not giving up. We'll see what this week brings, hopefully something wonderful!

I think I'll be single forever...

since there is no one out there that I first enjoy talking to and spending time with, second can put up with me and the babbling I do, third I think all the good guys are taken. I had a positive attitude till Thursday afternoon when my last client had to bring up the fact that I did not have any flowers on my station. So, what is a girl suppose to do. I have decided that I work way to much but other then that I don't know what the problem could be. Please help! I might be ready to consider any ideas you might have! Maybe I could be a nun, I do look cute in Black and White.

Since all my friends have moved....

I have decided that a blog isn't that bad of an idea, considering all of my friends have moved out of state. This way I can catch you all up at once, since we all know what a horrible emailer I am. While most of you are freezing it is a beautiful day and I don't have to work, so I am going to spend some time in the sun. Love you all and miss you more!
